Welcome to our Kitchen!

Welcome to the Harris' Kitchen! I have decided to start this blog to share some recipes, both successes and disasters. I am by no means a chef, and the recipes will probably not be my own, but I thought it might be fun and maybe you will try a few I suggest and let me know what you think or even leave a comment with suggestions of your own. Don't worry, I promise to give all credit where credit is due!
I thought I would show y'all our kitchen in this first post. It isn't fancy, but we like it.

I do like the stainless steel appliances, but they are a bear to keep clean. I feel like I have tried everything. All the products I have tried leave streaks. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them. All the little hands in our house make this a daily battle.

As some of you know, I LOVE Fiesta. It has been around for years and years. It is made by the Homer Laughlin Company and it comes in so many different colors. I started collecting it when my mom purchased a few pieces at Old Time Pottery in Mobile, AL almost 15+ years ago. I have gotten lots of people hooked on it, Me Me still loves it, Grammie, Aunt Grace, my friends Michelle and Hillary. It is so durable. In all the years I have had it I have probably only broken three pieces. The worst was last year when I made tacos, put the meat in a big pink bowl, carried it toward the dining room and dropped it... lets just say we had to pull out the paint.. it went EVERYWHERE!

This is a table we purchased last year at World Market. I love it, but what I love even more is the huge dining table we have that matches it. The top is distressed... perfect for three little boys!

Anyway, there you go, our kitchen. I will try to post tomorrow!
